ORGANISING WORK AND STUDY IN THE MOODLE ONLINE CLASSROOM
In this workshop you will learn about the basic functionalities of the Moodle online classroom and how to use it most effectively in the teaching process. You will learn how to navigate through the online classroom, how to organise the administration of courses, how to create folders, labels, pages and books, how to add files, URL links, competency framework and how to use the Booking activity.

This workshop is designed to introduce the basic functionalities of the Moodle online classroom. In addition to an introductory and a concluding part, it consists of 3 sections:
- Editing course settings
In the first topic, you will learn the basic settings for editing a course in Moodle. To do this, you will learn how to navigate through the online classroom, how to set up course administration, and get familiar with conditional progression and restricting access to activities.
As a conclusion to the section, there is a compulsory assignment that requires you to set up the online classroom and edit the basic settings of the course. As a recommended activity, you are welcome to participate in the forum, where you are invited to share your experiences with editing basic settings in the Moodle online classroom.
- Adding and organising existing (static) resources in the online classroom
In the second topic, you will learn how to add and organise existing resources in the online classroom. To do this, you will learn how to add resources, URL links, create labels, folders, add a competency framework and use the Booking activity within the Moodle online classroom.
In the final part of the section, you will upgrade your online classroom by adding and organising existing materials. It is recommended that you participate in the forum where you can share your experiences with adding and organising materials in the online classroom.
- Creating resources in the online classroom
In the third topic you will see how to create your own (static) materials in the online classroom. To do this, you will learn how to create pages and books in the Moodle online classroom.
In the final part of the section, you will upgrade your online classroom by adding and creating new resources such as pages and books. It is recommended that you participate in the forum on the topic of creating resources in the Moodle online classroom.
Objectives of the online workshop:
- To use the online classroom to support the learning process;
to know the possibilities that the use of ICT (Moodle) brings to the study process; - online classrooms as an opportunity to support and enrich the study process and student-centred teaching and learning;
- planning a strategy and implementing online classrooms in your own teaching work.
Conditions for the recognition of the online workshop:
- during the scheduled workshop period, you are kindly invited to participate in the various activities (discussion, etc.) of the individual sections, which are recommended and not compulsory;
- it is compulsory to participate in at least one open discussion during the announced workshop period;
it is compulsory to submit a product at the end of each section during the workshop period; - the successful completion of the final activity is compulsory within the time limit of the workshop;
- at the end of the workshop, it is compulsory to complete a survey in order to obtain feedback from the participants as a basis for optimising future versions of the online workshop.
After successfully completing all activities, participants will receive a certificate in the online classroom and, a few days after the end of the course, a certificate of completion of the pedagogical training by post (to the faculty).
