VISION
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
Our primary task is to provide didactic knowledge and support to the quality teaching process through appropriate didactic methods and approaches and innovative use of information and communication technologies, applications and services for all higher education teachers, students and staff of the University of Ljubljana.
The Center for the use of ICT in pedagogical process is a support and development environment for the University of Ljubljana, which will enable the University to become one of the leading digitised academic and research institutions in the EU, where higher education teachers and staff effectively use state-of-the-art information and communication technologies and multimedia in the teaching process in order to achieve top quality performance.
The objectives of the Center for the use of ICT in pedagogical process are:
- to enable the quality and competitiveness of study programmes to be enhanced in line with the needs of future generations,
- to adapt to changes in the national and international higher education landscape in order to promote international comparability and internationalisation,
- to promote the quality of the study process and to establish good practices in the didactic use of ICT in a greater number of study programmes,
- to reduce the “digital divide” in the use of ICT among UL members, to support the continuity and sustainability of the didactic use of ICT in study programmes,
- ensure equal accessibility of the study process for all students and teachers through the use of ICT, with a focus on greater inclusion of people with special status.
The main tasks of the Center for the use of ICT in pedagogical process are:
- raising awareness and providing information on the use of ICT in the teaching process for higher education teachers and associates,
- offering didactic and technical support to higher education teachers and associates,
- offering various training opportunities in the didactic and technical use of ICT,
- carrying out research and development in the didactic use of ICT in the study process,
- carrying out quality evaluation of the ICT-enhanced learning process,
- participation in the establishment of an integrated technological learning environment and the provision of maintenance, technical and user support,
- at the level of decisions taken by individual members (additional services):
- provision of basic didactic and technical production services,
- support for the setting up of specific learning environments,
- setting up a network of national and international experts to provide specific didactic and technical services.
