CREATING INTERACTIVE VIDEOS USING ICT
This workshop will introduce you to Mayer’s principles for creating multimedia learning materials. You will learn about the H5P and EdPuzzle web environments, which allow us to easily create interactive videos. Then, following Mayer’s principles, you will create your own interactive videos that include different forms of assessment of understanding.

This workshop is designed to introduce you to interactive videos. In addition to an introduction and a conclusion, it consists of 2 sections:
- Mayer’s principles for creating multimedia learning materials
You will see some examples that illustrate the application and adherence to Mayer’s principles.
In this section you will look at materials and resources, take a quiz and participate in a discussion.
- Creating interactive videos
You will learn about tools for making interactive videos: Edpuzzle and H5P.
In this section you will look at the materials, resources and guides, submit an assignment and take part in a discussion.
Objectives of the online workshop:
- to learn about Mayer’s principles for creating multimedia learning materials;
- to learn about different ICT for the production of interactive videos;
making interactive videos.
Conditions for recognition of the completion of the online workshop:
- participation in at least 1 (arbitrarily selected) discussion is mandatory during the scheduled workshop period;
- 2 quizzes must be successfully completed at the end of each session within the time limit of the workshop;
- during the workshop period, you must successfully complete the activity at the end of each session;
the final activity of the whole workshop must be successfully completed within the time limit of the workshop; - the completion of a survey at the end of the workshop is mandatory in order to obtain feedback from participants as a basis for optimising future versions of the online workshop.
After successfully completing all activities, participants will receive a certificate in the online classroom and, a few days after the end of the course, a certificate of completion of the pedagogical training by post (to the faculty).
